A common pattern is seen over the Internet by me that those bloggers who start churning out some good money look to transfer their blog from free domain to their own.Something that all of you who are thinking to move away from free or the original domain should keep in mind the fact that though your current blog may not offer you the entire features that you want to be displayed on your blog but still it is the place where people till now have com to read your content.

Also by changing the domain you will end up losing the pagerank as well as the web ranking for the blog that you originally had it for your blog.Its then again a hard work to get the blog up and running again and getting good traffic to your site.Most of the times , the change of domain name usually backfires and spoils all your hard work.

So what are you going to do if such thing occurs with you and you lose all your search engine stats.To avoid such a dreadful state you may follow following steps:

1.Stick to your own domain

If you believe me I would seriously advise you to stick with what you are right now.Many big bloggers have understood this fact and sticking to free domain with which they have started like blogger,wordpress or typepad.If you still do not feel like having a free domain then you can purchase a domain with same name or redirect that your original blog.Its as simple as it is.

2.Follow the 301 redirection address to every page from your new blog

This is a good method that allows even the Google bot to track your pages with the 301 redirection address.Although a week delay occurs but the crawling of your pages and their indexing takes place and you might end up having all the pages indexed in about three months.

WHAT'S YOUR GOAL?

First let me congratulate everyone who feels like blogging and speaking out their views through a blog.Hey everyone wants readers to come and read their content so that some useful comment can really help them out in improving their writing style.People are so much engrossed in just writing posts that they sometimes forget what they would do once they get exhausted or if they do not get what they want in the set amount of time.Its just not writing about writing 20 -30 posts a day and then getting exhausted the entire upcoming week.Its essentially important for them who are not the full time bloggers and spend few essential hours from their rest time.

So I wanna ask you all that what is your goal?How much do you think you can write everyday so that you are very regular at updating your blog with the posts and good quality content and not just the bull shit of hi and hello and putting a good quote to impress people around.

A good friend of mine said that maybe I should try and write atleast 3 blog posts a day .Whoa boy that means atleast 100 posts in annually.That would eventually make a good content based site.But has he thought that how much research on the Internet everyone has to make to get a single good quality post on the blog.If you say three for example then your thought process also gets tested only in the second one that you are going to write and making it better than the previous one with exclusive content is something that is tough and everyone would agree.So I would recommend that set a goal for yourself and try to follow that without putting too much pressure on yourself.The better you can write is the thing that everyone might read instead of just posting bull shit on your site.

I am currently starting after my break because of university exams and tight practical schedules. But finally i have set my goal of atleast one and maximum 2 posts per day.That i my aptitude and I know if stress more things will only get worse.So set yourself and commit to only what you can achieve.The goal has to be something that you can achieve and also keeps you motivating every time you hit the screen.Your only one good blog post is equivalent to 20 bull shits written even by good bloggers. LINKING WITH OTHER BLOGS?

In the race to acquire better site ranking and so also the visitors the bloggers just grab every opportunity to put their link on other blogs.So spam other bloggers comment section,some do link exchange.So what if the site has a bad reputation nobody cares is the reality.So think before you link with others or try link exchange through the following checklist:

1.Is the blog already has too many links exchanged with others.

2.Does the content of the blog suites yours to go forward with link exchange.

3.Whether the blog has a bad reputation over the blogosphere and linking with that blog might just not even my readers away.

4.Whether providing that blogs link might help my readers understand the point better.

If you get all the negative response after these points into consideration then better no to go ahead in link building .Else you are free to get into link sharing.

There is no doubt in my mind that your blogs status is only as good as the weakest content it has.To understand this better we should look at the example below.

Consider a pickpocket who now wants to live a peaceful and a good life now.He works in a hotel as a waiter to earn his living and is trying to be as honest as possible.But suddenly one day a cop comes to that hotel and calls that guy to his table starts questioning him as if he is there to rob the hotel off its money.The hotel manager immediately removes the person on the request of the cop.So what did you learn?

No matter how much you try to improve yourself, your previous deed or the things which are your weak points are easily exploited by others.Similarly, your blog is easily neglected if people already have an idea about the content your blog has.

Even though you have improved on your quality and also the content and you are trying to be as versatile as ever but still you have to suffer from the earlier posts and content that you have published on your blog.

So how to get rid of these issues? Maybe the following few important points may help you to refresh your blogs status.

1.New blog design

Sometimes people do not like the way you publish your posts and the placement of the widgets and ads on your blog.So do try and figure out what is the best layout for your blog which at first look seems to be more refreshing to you first.Try testing out different colours and placements on your blog so that the readers get what they want first and the the subsidiary content is down or at the corner.

2.Try submitting your site to the networking sites.

Some of you might be pissed off that your blog id denied again and again by the networking sites.This has happened with me but slowly as my content went on increasing along with the quality the sites have now accepted my blog and its a no commercial site now.

3.Site promotion,pagerank and SEO.

The promotional aspect is up to you whether you like to promote your site for free or spend money to advertise your blog on the other websites.But hey the PageRank is very important for your blog.if your PageRank is good then probably you can get more paid posts to write along with more adverts.So try to have more links with the other blogs and try using effective SEO techniques.

4.Performance

Its worthwhile tracking your blogs performance at least once a week.You should not only keep on writing and filling your blog but also take care to have a look around and see how many visitors are travelling across your blog, incoming and outgoing click streams,Alexa ranking etc.

Try doing this and you will eventually understand the shortcomings of your blog by yourself.
